Mission & History

Our mission is simple:

ACCA aims to bring artists and community together through contemporary art.

A Bit About Us

In 2012, Artworks Center for Contemporary Art (ACCA) was established by a small group of artists in Loveland, Colorado with the intent to support and cultivate a community of artists by offering affordable subsidized studio space. Today, it is one of the largest providers of arts services to individual artists in the state of Colorado. It offers 28 prime studio spaces within 10,000 square feet of state-of-the-art facilities. ACCA strives to continually optimize our environment to cultivate individual and communal growth and career advancement. ACCA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit art center whose mission is to bring artists and the community together through contemporary art. It serves as a creative space for a community of Colorado artists and a hub of outstanding arts exhibitions and programming in Northern Colorado. ACCA currently serves a community of contemporary artists working in a variety of creative fields including photography, ceramics, painting, and performance art and offers museum-quality programming for our artists and the public, including free lectures, panel discussions, and poetry events. Since 2012, ACCA has become a staple of the downtown Loveland community and has exhibited the works of hundreds of local, national, and international artists. In 2020, ACCA changed its name from Artworks Loveland to Artworks Center for Contemporary Art to reflect the mission more clearly and to elevate the institution and the vibrant community of artists and art patrons in Northern Colorado to a national stage.

Creating Community

Artworks is the largest studio artist community in Northern Colorado dedicated to advancing the contemporary arts. With desirable studio and gallery space, artists are free to work solo or take advantage of collaborative opportunities.
