Hello. I am currently working on a sculpture which will be about 112% of life size. The armature consists of a steel pipe and layers of 2″ construction foam. The Marquette I am using for reference is 1/3 the size of the larger piece. In an age of 3d printing, computers and lasers, this is old school method. However, it is less expensive as well as a time investment. The next step is to begin covering the piece with modeling clay.
