Film & Darkroom Beginners Photo Class
Session One: April 10, 5:30 – 7:30 PM
Session Two: April 12, 5:30 – 7:30 PM
The two-session workshop is focused on the basic mechanics of making a Black & White silver-gelatin photograph, from learning how to operate a camera, to developing and making prints in the darkroom. The first session will cover beginning or basic photography with a walk downtown to apply concepts. The second session will consist of printing the image in the wet darkroom. The classes are designed to help you learn, explore, and enjoy photography. Follow in the footsteps of great master photographers such as Ansel Adams, Alfred Stieglitz, and Paul Strand.
Instructor Bob Campagna works as an artist-in-residence in Loveland’s Thompson School District, Artworks Loveland, and throughout Colorado. He is sponsored by Think 360 Arts and Artworks Loveland. Since 1980, Bob has taught over 450 photography workshops to more than 12,000 students. He has taught workshops in Colorado, Iowa, New Mexico, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, California, New York, Nicaragua, and Scotland.
* Note – Film, print paper, and mats are supplied. Film cameras are available if needed. Plus individually scheduled darkroom times are available if you can not attend the second session on April 12, 5:30-7:30 pm.
