Visiting artist Mark Dineen‘s solo exhibition, Bitch River, opens Friday December 8, 6-9 PM. Bitch River uses various media including charcoal, paint, pastels, paper, cardboard, foam, plastics, plaster, and wood.
Through experimentation and iteration, Dineen develops unconventional approaches to working with commonplace materials such as wood, plastic, leather, and cement. His work contrasts the logic and efficiencies of industrial production with the idiosyncratic nature of craft-based studio processes.
Mark is a Colorado based artist, designer, and educator. He is an Assistant Professor (Sculpture) and the 3D Foundations Coordinator in the Department of Art and Art History at Colorado State University.
