Haley Takahashi: Ataraxia

September 13 - November 2, 2024

OPENING NIGHT: Friday, September 13th, 6-8 PM

“ATARAXIA explores the intersection of fear, heritage, and resilience. Ataraxia can refer to a state of blissful serenity or disquiet and anxiety. The work in my exhibition grapples with themes of tragedy and the pursuit of serenity in a world wrought with turmoil. Drawing inspiration from cultural heritage (American and Japanese), familial narratives, and the celestial realm, the work will offers a reflection on coping mechanisms and the enduring power of the human spirit.”
